Megan Schutte, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Meghan Schutte graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a certification in Business Foundations. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. She then went on to complete a residency in Primary Care Optometry at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington, KY. During the residency program, she focused on low vision and vision therapy, along with traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and specialty contact lens fittings. Dr. Schutte then became the head of Optometry in a multidisciplinary hospital system, The Lexington Clinic. Dr. Schutte is now very happy to have returned to Texas, her home state, to be closer to family and friends and all the outdoor Austin activities she loves!

Dr. Schutte is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. She is also a member of a local choir and a recreational sports team.
Dr. Schutte has known since the young age of twelve that optometry was her desired life trajectory after being inspired by her childhood optometrist. Since then her passion has grown exponentially. She loves treating ocular disease, fitting glasses and contacts, and any other challenges you can throw her way! “I get to help people see the world better every day. I love my profession!” She is currently welcoming new patients and would love to help you and your family with all things eyes.

Selena Aloisio, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Selena Aloisio is a longtime member of the Northwest Hills Eye Care team. She was an intern with our office before earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and then her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. While in optometry school, Dr. Aloisio received distinction letters of excellence for outstanding patient care, and she also served as President of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. During her last year of professional school, she completed externships in Cedar Park, Texas, and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, the largest military medical facility in the world.

Dr. Aloisio is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist by the Texas Optometry Board. She provides personalized primary eye care, contact lens fittings, dry eye treatment, and management of ocular disease, and she also specializes in myopia control treatment for children and teenagers.
When not in the exam room, she enjoys trying out local food spots, attending live music concerts, and spending time with her sweet dachshund. Dr. Aloisio, “Dr. A,” is dedicated to providing her patients with the best eye care available and is excited to serve the Austin area.

Lauren Aguilar, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Aguilar is originally from Nashville, Tennessee, but fell in love with Austin during her 4th year optometry school rotations. After graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry, she completed an ocular disease residency with an emphasis in Low Vision at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. She is excited to be back in Austin joining Northwest Hills Eye Care and Complete Low Vision Care.
